The house in Samobor is made up of two parts — a two-storey house and a garage with service spaces — connected by an entrance area whose view runs straight through the house to the covered terrace and living space at the rear, set within its natural surroundings. The house follows a vision of using renewable energy from the sun and rainwater harvesting, and, together with other technical solutions, aims to secure as self-sufficient a future as possible. We arrived at this design through a joyful, collaborative process with a warm, cheerful family who call their house “domček”.
